I have a 2007 Dodge Ram Quad Cab and I am looking to upgrade the speakers. Right now I have the factory head unit with 4 speakers. I am looking to update the head unit and update the 4 speakers in the doors. I am also looking to add 2 3.5" speakers in the dash. Here is what I am looking for.
1. What do you recommend for the 6 speakers?
2. What do you recommend for a head unit?
3. Do you recommend an amp? If yes what brand and how many channels?
I am looking for nice sound quailty and bass. I do not want subs through....

CF recommends going with the same brand speakers front and rear, but that might be hard to do if budget is an issue.

Infinity Kappas could work front and rear - Pioneer TS-A's would be the best value in the front. Alpine SPS would be the best value in the rear, but there are TS-A's that would match up in the rear as well. For the dash, Infinity Reference or JL.
Subjective - I like Pioneer or Alpine.
Again, personal preference, but here it gets interesting ...
If you go with say Pioneer and JL, you can run the dash speakers in parallel with the HU and run them off the HU - keeps the cost down.
If you go with Infinity, they are 2-ohm, so you likely want a 4-channel amp and I would run the dash speakers off the HU (even though they are 2-ohm). (I might consider using JL's in the dash if the 2-ohm from the HU was a concern).
I like Alpine or Rockford amps if price isn't a factor and Profile if it is.
