  • Sony MotionFlow and 24p content

When viewing 24p content on a 120hz Sony TV with MotionFlow enabled, what is the actual generated framerate? The product specs say that "it doubles the video frame rate by inserting 60 entirely new frames between the original 60 frames", but nowhere does it say what happens with 24p content, for Sony...

  • Why does Crutchfield hype LCD's more Than Plasma's?

Not trying to cause a stir i am just curious as to why they seem to list more specs than plasmas. As you can probably tell already i am a plasma guy and as of a year ago thats all i would consider buying. Now in the last year Lcds have impressed me quite a bit with things like 120hz so on and so forth...

  • Mitsubishi LT46246 vs. Sony KDL-46Z4100, which 46" TV??

I am looking for a 46" panel that will fit in the space of a 42". 1080p at 120Hz are also a must. I have narrowed the list down to two panels; the Mitsubishi Diamond LT-46246 and the Sony Z-series KDL-46Z4100. Both panels have a small footprint with thin chassis bezels. I have heard that the panels and...

  • Re: HELP CHOOSING HDTV!

jwill welcome to the boards. tv shopping on a budget can be challenging and very rewarding if you know what you really need. Let's assume that 1080p is a must because of the blu-ray / PS3 I wouldn't worry about 120Hz.. it's a feature that isn't a MUST have. Next, since it seems like youre in college...

  • HELP CHOOSING HDTV!

I am looking to get a new HDTV and I am trying to figure out what size and model to go with. Here is as much background info as I can think to give now: - I have a PS3 and many BluRays so 1080p is looking like a necessity. (I have an HDMI cable and all that) - It may be used in a bedroom or possibly...

  • Samsung LN52A650 vs LN52A750 vs LN52A860

After an extensive period of time comparing the new HDTVs, I've concluded that the Samsung 120Hz LCD HDTVs have the best picture quality for my needs. The price also seems to reflect that sentiment. After looking at the comparisons between the models above, it is evident that the LN52A860 model is lighter...

  • Refresh rate on Samsung T6187SA

Hi, just got my new 6187SA and love it. I know its capable of 120Hz refresh but it looks like everything is set to 60Hz (based on the resolution and refresh reading when i choose a source). Is this manually changed? I can't find anything about it in the manual or online. Thanks in advance...

  • 120Hz Refresh Rate

I've been trying to buy an HDTV for a while now. I'm wondering about 120Hz refresh rates. I've read enough "for" and "against" articles on this technology. Looking to hear from anyone who actually owns a TV with this. Do you think that it is worth the money? I REALLY enjoy watching sports, does it make...
