One thing to note is that the CNPALP1 's 6 foot yellow wire needs to be hardwired to your Alpine head unit's yellow wire using the supplied in-line 1-Amp fuse wire extension. Just wanted to make sure you did this. If not, try rewiring it this way and see what happens.

There seems to be alot of discussion on this receiver and its ipod interface here, but nothing seems to answer my specific question. I have a special installation where the receiver will be mounted in the glove box in front of the passenger. Thus, if I use the built in (specific for) Ipod connection...

Well, my the Alpine HU that I bought almost a year ago was stolen. (Perp broke the passenger-side window and took my Alpine CDE-9874 and rear Infinity Kappa 6" coaxial speakers. Now only my 4x6 Infinity Kappa coaxial plates remain. Well, since I want to replace the HU now ( was, at first, hesitant. But...

Is it based on how it's structured on the drive or will it group artists and albums regardless? Can I browse by...

Hi all, I'm looking at buying one of the 2 above units. They seem to suit me (ipod/radio for me, usb drive for the kids), & i love the look, i'm an artwork sucker! The guy i spoke to said that the original version (IDAX001) was actually better than it's successor. His only real reason he could give...

I recently received the Alpine CDA 9886 receiver, and am trying to connect the wiring harness to the receiver. Everything is going fine but a few of the wires coming from the receiver already have plastic covers on the ends, and it looks like the wire is connected to some kind of metal at the end. There...

Does anyone have any real honest information on when this unit will finally be available. The factory isn't talking. They just repeat the latest in a long line of excuses. Crutchfield Sales Support isn't talking. They appear to be as "in the dark" as we are. It would be nice to see a post from someone...
