There seems to be alot of discussion on this receiver and its ipod interface here, but nothing seems to answer my specific question. I have a special installation where the receiver will be mounted in the glove box in front of the passenger. Thus, if I use the built in (specific for) Ipod connection...

Hello NetHugo, The CDA-9886 can run USB, Bluetooth, auxiliary input and even an iPod simultaneously if you need. You have three ports on the back that you can use to connect other devices. There is a USB port and a 10-pin din plug that can be used for the iPod connection. That iPod connection will be...

Forya is correct that if you are going with a Single-Din reciever, Alpine's have the best speed/access control. As far as power... Hey Guys, I just picked-up an Alpine CDA-9886 for my 2003 Saturn Ion. To save some $$$ and to have the experience, I decided to try to install it myself. I am a noob in this area. A friend of mine (who is more fluent in the wiring area) is helping me to connect my Receiver Wiring Adapter to Alpine's...

Hey guys, just bought and installed my new 9886 from Crutchfield (went really well), and had a few questions about the iPod navigation.
