  • Alpine CDA-105

Just installed an Alpine receiver in my 2005 Honda Accord and it sounds great. The Crutchfield MasterSheet was very helpful. Want to pass along something I ran into. When I first installed the unit my reception was terrible. I went out on the web to see if I could find anything. It turns out that a number...

  • 2004 Honda Pilot Receiver

I have a 2004 Honda Pilot and want to be able upgrade the Radio so that I can view my I-Pod playlists and artists. I have the aftermarket I-Pod plug and this allows me to play up to 5 playlist, as it plugs into the CD Changer Aux plug. Do any of the newer Honda Pilot Radios work in a 2004 Honda Pilot...

  • Head Unit Suggestions? (I'm picky fyi)

Hey, so I was looking to replace my head unit in my 1994 honda civic, because the guy that owned it before me put in a qwestar, and basically it sucks. He didn't even hook up the pioneer front speakers he put in. Anyway, I was looking for a pretty specific set of things to have on the head unit, and...

  • Alternatives to '05 Pilot w/ Rear Entertainment System

Hi Everyone, I have a 2005 Honda Pilot, including a rear entertainment system. The factory stereo, has buttons for am/fm, dvd/aux and the like. I have the ability, like in many RES equipped vehicles to turn sound off in back, control the dvd playback, etc. Question is - what do I look for in replacing...

  • 2002 Accord factory in-dash head unit with CD changer, how to add iPod/Aux input?

I've got a 2002 Accord EX with factory head unit. The HU has an in-dash 6-disc CD changer already. My suspicion is that there isn't an external connector off the back for use with a changer since there's already one there. I'd like to add an auxiliary input (RCA and/or headphone jack) for use with an...

  • pioneer premier deh-49 --- need users manual

Does anyone know where I can obtain a user's manual for the older pioneer premier deh-49? My teenage daughter was given one in great shape for her car and I can't obtain any information on it. Thanks so much.

  • 2008 S2000 Receiver w/ dash-mounted controls support

I just got me new S2000 yesterday! And the radio is about as bad as you can imagine. I was hoping to upgrade, starting with the head unit. Preferably Alpine, but it must have one of these remote controller jacks in the back as I need to purchase an adapter to keep the dash-mounted controls working. Any...

  • MP3 in 2001 Honda Accord EX Coupe

I have a 2001 Honda Accord EX Coupe and would like to play MP3 files. The factory radio includes the 6-disc changer and has steering wheel controls. In my previous car, I had replaced the factory radio with a Kenwood KDC-MP8017 (2001) MP3 CD player. The Kenwood worked good, but now I am looking for larger...

  • Re: Overloading factory wiring

OK, Tiger, you allayed my fears and I placed an order for a Dual XHD 6425 receiver that also has received an overwhelmingly favored review by prior purchasers. It is not too flashy and also has the features I've been loking for: digital media input options, HD radio that I never had before, and blue...

  • Re: Overloading factory wiring

OK, so the 7.5A fuse should be more than enough to handle even higher current than the factory model does. The ignition switch related issue looks good, too, but what is HU? I don't think I was asking too much with that adapter cable as I seem to recall such cables being used by some professional installers...
