The Alpine MRP-M1000 is 1000 watts at 2 Ohms & 600 watts at 4 Ohms. The JL-Audio 12W6 DVC is 600 watts. Would there be any advantage in running my amplifier with a 4 Ohm load? How many watts would the speaker be subjected to under the 2 Ohm load, keep in mind the sub is 600 watts RMS @ 4 Ohms......
