I'm interested in upgrading my DNX7100 to the DNX8120. I currently have a SIR-KEN1 connected to the 7100. Would the SIR-KEN1 work with the 8120 and would I use the same cable?

According to the research we have on this end, this unit cannot function until the subscription is activated, but if you activate it and then discontinue the service afterwards, the unit should still function normally. Do you mind posting back to tell us how this worked out for you? HTH!

Hi: I have a Kenwood sirius SR 903 tuner question. I want to upgrade the Kenwood Excelon KDC 459 deck to get a better DAC (24 bit and Burr-Brown) and DSP if possible. Can the SR 903 Tuner work with Alpine/ Clarion or Clarion? It seems that it is a 13 pin cable but not sure. Or do I have to get an Excelon...

I got mine to work. The problem turned out to be the cable from the SIR-KEN1 to the X891 HU . The cable was pinched & wire cut. I replaced the cable and the unit worked time I cut it on.

Hi. Just installed the SIR-KEN1 to the KDC-X891 HU and it won't read it. I can't seem to get "sat" to come up as a source. Everything else works and all connections are correct. Am I missing something really simple or is there a programming trick? Everybody says these are compatible. Thanks for the help...
