  • Why does Crutchfield hype LCD's more Than Plasma's?

    Not trying to cause a stir i am just curious as to why they seem to list more specs than plasmas. As you can probably tell already i am a plasma guy and as of a year ago thats all i would consider buying. Now in the last year Lcds have impressed me quite a bit with things like 120hz so on and so forth...

    Great Post SP3LL! I didn't intend for my post to come off as anti-LCD or Plasma-centric. I should have elaborated a bit more than one sentence though. I prefer Plasma for movies because I think the color and contrast is unmatched. Or at least the last time I looked, Plasma had a great advantage. However...

    Given the pricing criteria, I think you will find an LCD set will pack more features and quality into that segment. I myself would prefer plasma over LCD simply because of the image quality but LCD sets are very nice. Comparison I ran a quick search with the information that you provided. And make sure...

    Personally if you are going to watch movies, I'd go plasma. Not that LCD variants haven't made improvements but a movie on a plasma TV is just breath taking. I like the smaller LCD's for TV's in side rooms. But for a big screen, main TV, I feel that the LCD versions just can't keep up when images change...
