  • Blaupunkt Brisbane SD48 -- impressions, quirks and ID3 tags?

I finally installed my Blaupunkt Brisbane and am starting to get a feel for how it functions. My first question would be how to get it to recognize ID3 tags? It officially supports v1 and v2 ID3 tags, but I can't get it to recognize them. Instead, it falls back to the file names. The files I'm...

  • MP3 player connectivity issue with Pioneer FH-P4100 HU

I purchased the Pioneer CD-RB10 IP-Bus Interconnector and have it plugged into the back of the FH-P4100 HU. I am feeding the Interconnector with a Zune 30 from the headphone output with volume set at 18 (out of 20). The apparent problem is that the HU doesn't seem to know it's there. When in the Tuner...

  • MP3 hookup to older Pioneer HU

I have a Pioneer DEH-P650 HU and as far as I can tell, the only means of onputting an outside (aux) signal is through a multi-disc cd changer plugin on the back panel. I'd like to input an mp3 player (actually a Zune 30) to the HU, how do I do it? Is there a harness that might interface with the CD changer...

  • MP3 in 2001 Honda Accord EX Coupe

I have a 2001 Honda Accord EX Coupe and would like to play MP3 files. The factory radio includes the 6-disc changer and has steering wheel controls. In my previous car, I had replaced the factory radio with a Kenwood KDC-MP8017 (2001) MP3 CD player. The Kenwood worked good, but now I am looking for larger...

  • Digital Media Receivers, I'm Looking...?

Hi, my name is Robert, and I just joined to find out all I can about the newest Digital Media Receivers coming down the line. I have an old first generation Sony CD MP3 that I bought here about 8 years ago or so, which still works good, but was never too good with skipping. It had some kind of 3 second...

  • USB drive playback options

We recently bought an aftermarket hu for my wife's new car (the previous owner's 3yo had put coins in the CD slot of the stock system). We ended up getting a Kenwood KDC-MP435U. One of the big selling features for me was the USB port on the front for stick drives. I like it enough that I'm now shopping...

  • Duel xhd6425 with USB harddrives????

I picked up a Duel xhd6426 car receiver. The idea of using a USB flash drive is great but I would like to take it a bit further. I have external USB harddrives. Can I use them? I tried a USB 2.5" drive but I think the USB port in the receiver does not have enough power to support the current requirements...
