Hi all, The RF speaker in this 7.1 HTIB set is on its way out and I am looking to replace at least the L&R fronts in the next two months. Should I replace the Center as well? The surrounds are working pretty well, so I don't think I want to replace all 8 speakers at this time. I'd love to...

Sorry for the slow response.. It has been busy on my side of the fence the past 2 days. However.... [quote user="gmoniey"]Thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate it as I feel a bit like a fish out of water. I haven't picked out any pieces yet (even the tv), and I have another week or...

Welcome to the site gmoiey. If you are starting from scratch, you can always to the HTIB route. It'll give you all the bits you need, and if you buy the right ones they are upgradeable for later down the road so you don't have to replace everything in your setup when you decide you want better...

Hello Houston. Which HTIB were you considering for this effort? The person you spoke with was correct, but didn't give you a reason. The reason that some HTIB systems won't work is due to proprietary or "unique" speaker connections. Those unique terminals make those speakers only work...

Has anyone heard whether Crutchfield is going to carry the new Onkyo HT-S7200?

I have an similar problem with my TX-SR606. Did you manage to get it resolved or did you have to send it away for repair? HDMI Sources such as Sky+ HD and PS3 all work fine. Xbox 360 and Wii produce sound but no picture, the only way to get a picture is to repeatedly turn the reciever on and off (10...

I am not familiar with the SIMA speaker selector. However, if it is like our Niles SS-4 4-pair speaker selector , it presents a 4 ohm load to the receiver. If the SIMA is this way, then your system will not work. The receiver being only capable of supporting an 8 ohm or higher impedance will either not...

One thing that comes to mind has to do with the terminals you connect your speakers. The terminals you should use with Zone 2 speakers are the ones labeled "Front High Speakers". These are the spring terminals and the channels that are active for Zone 2 when you have that activated within the receiver...
