  • Help With Sub Selection

Got a new question for folks. Trying to decide between an Alpine Type S 12" Sub (4ohm Dual Voice Coil) vs. JL Audio 12W1 vs Pioneer TS-SW1201S4 (4Ohm) or TS-SW1201S2 (2Ohm). or other suggestion. This will be going into a 2001 Corvette with a Custom Box needing a shallow mount woofer. Mounting Depth...

  • Re: Fitting a sub into the stock location of a 350Z

I checked our researched information on your 2003 350Z and found that the mounting depth for a subwoofer is 8" and the mounting height (subwoofer excursion) is 0.9". This means that the Pioneer Premier TS-W1008D2 subwoofer will fit there. Now, I do not have information on the air space in that location...

  • Pioneer FH-P8000BT and a sub without an amp?

I have a Pioneer FH-P8000BT installed in my car, without any amp or sub. I looked in the installation manual the other day, and it had a diagram where it said I can hook up a sub "without the optional amplifier". So is it really realistic for me to hook up a little sub to this receiver without an amp...

  • Fitting a sub into the stock location of a 350Z

Now, I know everyone says it's not a good idea to put a new sub into the location that a 350Z comes with from the factory, but I tend not to listen to what other people think. What I was wondering was, from looking at the mounting hole and clearances, it concerns me that there is very little room, at...

  • Stereo Help

HELP needed I was wondering if i could fit 4 Alpine SWR-1042D Subs in the trunk of my 2000 Impala Ls and powering those would be a Lanzar MXA282. I was also wondering if this also would be a good setup with 6.5" Lanzar OPT164 powered by a Sound Storm 2F400 and 6X9 Pioneer Premium TS-A943P powered by...

  • Re: Kicker Shallow Mounts Advice Plz

I cannot find any with a better design for handling the power given the smaller excursion of shallow subwoofers . However, there is one that can play lower bass notes. It is the Pioneer TS-SW3001S4 12" shallow subwoofer. It plays down to 20 Hz where the Kicker COMP VT 07CVT122 subwoofers play down to...

  • HELP!

I am running two pioneer 12" ts-w306dvc subs in a ported box off a cute little sony xplod amp (xm-sd22x), lol. Now I've grown up and realized this isn't going to cut it. I have everything wired up like the "Two Subwoofers, Mono Amp" diagram here (http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car...

  • SubWoofer Suggestions?!!!

I have a 2007 Nissan Maxima SL, I replaced the Bose h/u with the Pioneer Avic-D3X Package. I went to my local Best Buy in search of a subwoofer, I want just a little extra "knock" when it comes to my lows. The Best Buy Rep informed me that it would be in my best interest to replace all my speakers in...
