I am looking for an amp to power my 6.5" momo components. They are rated to handle 125 watts rms. Would the Profile HA1000 or AP1000 be a good amp for this application? Both are 2 Ch's rated at 160 watts rms @ 4 ohms; the momo's are 4 ohms's as well. I could just turn the amp down a bit to compensate...

WOW TigerHeli, thanks for the advice and long detailed reply. It is much appreciated. I was able to contact the VW dealer in time and have them halt on installing a new VW battery while I look into other options/alternatives for this situation & get more advice. I have a 3rd car (Nissan truck) I...

Soon I will be purchasing 2 Polk Audio db1240 12" 4-ohm subs. My question is how do I determine which amp to buy? I guess a better question would be how to I know the minimum amount of wattage needed to power these subs? It will also be powering the Alpine 9884 receiver as well as four stock 4-ohm speakers...

I'm currently running Polk Audio 651s off my Alpine headunit, and powering my subwoofer with a 2ch Alpine amp. The amp puts out around 120w a channel, or 340w bridged. I'm debating between buying a new amp for the front speakers, or a new amp for the subwoofer and using my existing amp for the speakers...

Hello DaleHeller, First of all welcome to the forums and I would like to apologize for the late response to your post. As of now, we have not had the opportunity to research the M35, so I do not know the exact fit of the speakers in that vehicle. There are timeswith Bose systems that you can replace...

I have the Polk db6501 in the front which are rated at 10-100 max RMS and the Polk db651S in the rear, rated 6-55 max RMS. Would it be better to go with two different amps, one 2-channel at 100w for the front and one 2-channel at 50-60w for the rear? Or, would it make more sense to go with one 4-channel...

I have a 1999 Tahoe and the back doors will only accomodate a shallow mount speaker. I have polk momo MMC650s, which are 6 1/2" speakers that I have in my front doors with a max rms of 80 watts. In the rear I have Infinity shallow mount speakers, the Infinity reference 6022si that are 6 1/2" speakers...

I have a 2003 VW Passat wagon and recently replaced the factory head unit and speakers with a JVC unit and Polk speakers. I did the JVC head unit installation myself and Crutchfield was great in assisting me with that so I'm looking at maybe trying to install an additional amp to help better power the...
