  • Need help with configuring a better sound system for my truck

The speakers on my factory installed truck stereo were blown, so I recently replaced them with front and rear Polk speakers, and a JVC HD Radio/CD, Bluetooth and IPod ready system. The problem is my music is a little flat, and I am not sure if just a subwoofer will enhance my music experience (I play...

  • Power Questions

I have an '03 Wrangler, and recently installed Polk DB521 5.25" speakers in the sound bar, and a pair of Polk Momo MMC460 4"x6" are in the mail for the dash. Is this just a factory grille height issue, or is it actually speaker/magnet size? If I have the facory grilles removed, could I have the Polk grilles installed...

  • Re: New Truck!

Hello Kevin P and welcome to the Crutchfield forums! Since you are looking for a top notch system on a modest budget, I recommend looking for sale or closeout items. This is the best way to go high end without the high end cost. For your speakers, I recommend the Polk Audio db570 speakers. These speakers...

It is supposed to be top-of-the-line for factory stereo's (I'm sure this is a debate in itself), but I find it underpowered & sub-par. I have kept all the equipment listed in my signature. I want...
