Hi, I used to have the Orion H2 12.4 and now looking to get the Orion HCCA 12.4. I had the Hifonics Brutus BXI 2008D amp but have replaced it with the Hifonics XXV Collossus. I am slightly lost at what it can power at 1 Ohm, 2 Ohms and 4 Ohms and whether it is too powerful (can it be too powerful?) for...

  • Which amp is best for me?

Hey guys here is the situation. I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I have done moderate customization to. I want to add big time bass to my truck. Somewhere around 1500 to 2k watts. I love the way Kicker's DS12L7 subs and box combo (2 ohm or 4 ohm, not sure which I should get. Please help...) looks...

  • Re: One 12" Type R or Two 12" Type E's

Actually, to get a system to play twice as loud, you need ten times more power. Since you will be only adding one more subwoofer and at best doubling the power, then you will definitely not get sound that is twice as loud. However, you will get harder hitting bass that will sound louder. HTH!!

  • DVC vs. SVC worth the upgrade?

Currently my setup is two ten inch subs (2-ohm) being pushed by a two channel amp. The amp is running 450 watts per channel at 2-ohms. My question is, would i see any performance gain out of getting two DVC's and wiring them accordingly depending on their impedance? My amp can run 450 watts per channel...

  • what to get??

Hi all. i have a 1999 MK3 Jetta. which means it's the older 1993-1999 body "box" style. anyway, the previous owner handed down a ported dual 10" sub enclosure, and i'd like to get some advice, possibly from other Jetta owners, as to what would be a good buy/sound. all the wiring is in place, and i do...

  • Ohm, and wiring configuration for an Rockford sub and amp

I'm considering getting a Rockford Fosgate P3SD210 which is a 2 ohm DVC subwoofer with an RMS rated at 300, and a peak at 600. I would like to find a way to wire it to the Rockford Fosgate T500-1bd which is 1 ohm stable with a wattage rating at 500 watts. I know that with dual voice coils, the input...

  • Subwoofer feedback...?

Hi. I bought a Power Acoustik React1-1800 class D amplifier . I hooked it up for a 2 ohm load to a Rockford Fosgate Power T1 4 ohm 10 inch subwoofer , rated at 600 watts RMS. With the 2 ohm load, the amplifier is putting 700 watts RMS to the subwoofer. I'm using 5 gauge power wire, split with a distribution...
