I have not had a chance to view them side-by-side, but I have been able to see each one separately. I remember thinking that the Sony KDL-52XBR9 had exceptional contract ratios as I was able to see different shades of black and detail within the black areas. I also saw similar detail with the Samsung...

When viewing 24p content on a 120hz Sony TV with MotionFlow enabled, what is the actual generated framerate? The product specs say that "it doubles the video frame rate by inserting 60 entirely new frames between the original 60 frames", but nowhere does it say what happens with 24p content, for Sony...

There are several mini lcd tv's coming out now with digital tuners, built-in dvd readers, and flip-down under-cabinet mounting for the kitchen. Their screen sizes are 7 - 10 inches. My old Sony Walkman needs to be replaced for digital reception, and I am looking for something like these flip-down products...

To me, it appears that the major factor is the wattage of the speakers on the XBR7 is 2Watts greater. Other than that, I personally can't tell the difference. Same amount of connections and similar power usage ratings. I would personally go with the XBR6 for your situation.

They are almost the same for price range. I often watch DVD, Blu-Ray movies...

My selections are below. Both catagories are sorted by your budget ($2500 or under) and Sony as the brand. Personally, I would go for the larger sets. Bigger is always better when it comes to a new TV. Oh and don't forget a warranty! You might not need it, but boy if you do - you'll be glad to have it...

The 26N4000 has better speakers than the 26M4000 model. HTH!!
