Okay, I am running three amps and I know I need a capacitor, but I'm not too sure on what to get. I've heard that for every FARAD, it should be compatable with 1000 watts. (ie. 2 farad cap = 2000w power) 1] Is this true? 2] If so, Is that RMS wattage or MAX? I would really like some more info before...

I have an old sony explode 1000 Watt 2/1 channel amp that I got from a friend as soon as it comes on it goes into protect mode. Everything is wired right and the fuses are good so I dont know what else to do. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

If you plan on buying the amp from Crutchfield too then I'd check out the Sony XM-D9001GTR. It will give you the most bang for the buck. A lot of people rag on Sony but I've never had any problems with their amplifiers.
