  • Wiring Tweeters with Coaxials

I have a 1999 Infinity G20 with Infinity 63.7i 3 way coaxials in the front. The problem is because the speakers are placed pretty low, the vocals are often drowned out. Now I know what I should do is ditch the coaxials and get myself a pair of components in the front, but my budget is kinda tight at...

  • 09 galant dash tweeters and front door speaker wiring

Hello. I have a 09 Galant with standard system and factory radio. It's got 1" tweeters on the dash wired parallel with 6.5" polk db651slims on the front doors. Then 6x9" Polk MMC 690s on the rear deck. The front doors are rated at 55w rms and the rear speakers are rated 100w rms. I'm adding a 4 channel...

  • Re: Bose System Question?

If the tweeters do have their own amp built onto them, then it would only be possible to replace them if you also installed an aftermarket amp to power them. Now, not all Bose systems have the amp built onto the speakers. There are some that use a central amp and run wire from it to all the speakers...

  • Tweeter question

Hey all, I've done quite a bit of browsing on the forum looking for info on installing separate tweeters and what might be involved and/or how that would affect my system. What I've seen so far is: 1. I'll want to wire add-on tweeters in parallel with my existing speakers. 2. It will result in a 2-ohm...

  • 95 civic speaker mounting bracket?

So i put in a new premier deck, and realised just how bad stock civic dx speakers are... My dad gave me his old pioneer component mid's. They are only a midrange speaker, and are 5 1/4 inch. so they are smaller than the stock speakers... but they are also deeper than the speaker mounting bracket will...

  • running speakers off headunit

I currently am running two sets of polk audio db's (5.25s up front and 6x9s in back) these are being run off a Kicker750.5 along with a 10" L5. My problem is that, although it's loud, In want it to be louder. I was wondering that since my car has 4" speaker openings in the back and 1" tweeters up front...

  • Re: 2000 Blazer Speakers.............

The tweeter should go somewhere where they will have a good "line of sight" to your ears for the best sound. Anywhere you can find a place will work. I have heard of some people installing them behind the air vents. Others have used the sail panel (the panel oposite the side view mirror), but that would...

  • Re: flush, or stealth mount alpine tweeters?

I did that once for the rear doors of a 1997 VW Passat sedan and it worked out well. There were stock tweeter locations in the rear doors, but they were too small for mine. So, while it is not the best location for the tweeter, the install went pretty smoothly and the sound was nice. HTH!
