Cannot get hdmi to work with time warner cable box. TV keeps saying no video signal. Tech support at time warner says you have to set the signal in there box, but how if you cant get screen to set?

You might have to go into the cable box and turn on the HDMI output. Also check the input on the TV side to make sure that HDMI channel doesn't have another video feel going in somewhere else.

Its funny you mention the adapter that came with the xbox, It dawned on me yesterday to check the adapter and sure enough it does have a optical audio output on it..... and also sure enough it wont plug in with the hdmi plugged in also because there isnt enough room for both...
