  • Re: Pioneer Halts Plasma Screen Production

Twice.com has a good article that sheds a little more light on Pioneer's plasma strategy going forward. It seems that they are not abandoning their plasma line enitrely, they will now be outsourcing the panel production.

  • Pioneer Halts Plasma Screen Production

Is this the begining of the end for this style of TV or just a hiccup in the road? "TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's Pioneer Corp is finalizing plans to stop all production of plasma display panels in a bid to turn around its loss-making flat TV operations, an industry source briefed on the plan said on Tuesday...

  • Re: Panasonic Plasma TV's - power supply problem?

OK, since I started this whole blog trail a couple weeks back, I figured I should weigh in. I checked multiple web/blog sites for this blinking light power issue with Panasonic plasmas. I came across the following breakdown of "blinking light" power problem identifiers: =============================...

  • Re: Panasonic Plasma TV's - power supply problem?

I purchased a panasonic TH-50P700U 30 days ago. Yesturday I came home and turned on and got a blinking light. It blinks ten times then pauses and repeats. Everyone has explained the problem with a light that blinks 7 times. I just wondering if this is the same problem or not? The other thing does anyone...

I bought a 42" model (th42pz77u) in October. I love the HD picture and most SD looks pretty good. I came home last week and turned it on and nothing but red led flashing 7 times over and over. Panasonic support is hard to contact. ( busy signal or "we are closed, try later.) They use a local company...

  • Re: Panasonic Plasma TV's - power supply problem?

I've got a 42" Panasonic plasma. I bought it in 2005 and haven't had any power problems with it. The one problem I've had with it was picture burn-in. When I was setting everything up I set the side bars to "off" when watching a 4x3 image because it looked the best. After watching it like this for not...

  • Panasonic Plasma TV's - power supply problem?

I was just about ready to pull the trigger on purchasing a 58in Panasonic Plasma TV, from Crutchfield of course, when I came across a number of disheartening consumer reviews on a well known consumer electronic website. From the less than stellar reviews on that site, it seems that Panasonic knows that...

  • Re: Plasma...a definite no-no in a bright room?

Step Mom's got a plasma TV in direct line of every Sunset and there isn't too much problem when I watch it. It's a little squinty for me, but my eyesight is bad and the TV is above a fireplace so my neck is always hurting and that puts me in a bad mood. Her plasma is a Sharp? The one with the ambient...
