I know this is going to be vague, but I cant seem to figure it out. I had a CDA-9827, and I put in a CDA-9884. and I get no sound using the PREAMP OUTS. There is a little movement on the base speaker, but that is it. I put the 9827 back in and it works like a champ. I know the units are different voltages, but I didnt think my amp cared? or does it? Is it something simple im over looking? or am i looking at a bad unit?

 Any help is greatly appreciated. if you want to knwo more jsut tell me, Ill try and get you what you need.

B-I-N-G-O!!!

9827 has 4V pre-amp outputs, 9884 has 2V, so you are getting twice as much signal to the amp with the 9827 and will have to increase (lower numbers) the gain (sensitivity) on the amp to get equivalent volume.
