For the past three years I have been using a Denon AVR-1613 for my home audio system. At the time it seemed like a "cost effective" solution to replace a Nakamichi receiver that died after more than 20 years of continuous service. I am at a point now where I want to get back to a clean-sounding two channel amplifier that will sound as good as my old Nakamichi. Unfortunately the Denon I have is not cutting it. The audio is harsh, and better suited for five-channel home theater like it was designed for. I am looking at the Yamaha integrated amps on this site. Any suggestions or feedback regarding overall audio performance I can expect?
