As luck would have it, I found a great deal on a mint condition ADS P4 turntable on the local Craigslist. I will need to buy a new cartridge for the table. The cartridge on the table has a damaged needle. It's a Shure V15 Type 4. Does anyone know what type of cartridge this is? Is it a standard mount? I've never changed anything but a P-mount cartridge. I know this one is different. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

Oooohhh. V15 Type IV! Sweet.
That was one great sounding cartridge in its day (still is if you've got a good one). I'd keep the cartridge and replace the stylus.
This stylus is what you need. It would be well worth the cost.
Looks like it just uses screw mounts - also - replacement stylus's are available on Amazon for $30 (but not by Shure) - might be easier than getting a new cartridge.
Hope This Helps!!!
Anyone else have suggestions?

Thanks for the advice! Greatly appreciated! I do have a question. Does it take a spine surgeon to replace the stylus, or is it something the average tinkerer (like myself) can do?
In the case of the Shure V15 series, it's a piece of cake. Just slide the old stylus assembly out and slide the new one in. If I were you I'd get an alignment tool and maybe a stylus force gauge to make sure the cartridge itself is sitting squarely in the headshell and that the tracking force is correct.
Here is another stylus option for your V15 IV.
Because my name is on the business, I work hard to make sure you get the best possible shopping experience. I look forward to hearing your comments .
