Hi Cobb,

I appreciate the feedback on my forum post. You’re absolutely correct about the model number, and I changed that up.

However, the JVC KD-A805 CD receiver does use a Bluetooth USB adapter that’s included in the receiver package, as noted in the “Hands-on Research” section of the Crutchfield Internet presentation. Here’s an excerpt:

“USB Bluetooth Adapter: The JVC KD-A805 comes supplied with a USB Bluetooth Adapter (KS-UBT1) which can plug into either the head unit's front or rear-panel USB input, making the KD-A805 Bluetooth 2.0 certified.”

I did rewrite this on the forum post to make it a little clearer. Thanks for the suggestions.

i was just reading your info about the JVC KD-A805 (not kda-805), the bluetooth is done via internal adapter, so there is no external usb connection. the only thing you plug in is a mic cable to a mic jack attacted to the back of the radio. this might be confusing to customers if they self install and cannot locate the usb adaptor
