stand-alone stereo system with usb input - does it exist???

This question is answered

Looking to have a separate home stereo system that would allow mp3 files to be played from a usb memory stick.  Could be a simple "boom box" that could play mp3 files from a memory stick.  Would be nice if we could plug extra speakers into it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

  • Oddly, I haven't seen anything inexpensive that would do that.

The above works if you have the files on a PC and a wireless network.

Otherwise, you could get an inexpensive portable MP3 player, transfer the files to it, and connect the headphone output on the MP3 player to line inputs on the "boom Box / shelf system".

    Hope This Helps!!!

    Anyone else have suggestions?
