I finally decided to buy two of the Type R´s subs (500 RMS), for amps my choices are the Hifonics Brutus BXi 1610D or the Alpine MRP-M1000; the owners manual of the MRP reads that it has an input sensitivity from 0.2V to 4V, my HU is 4V, does that means that if I install the MRP-M1000 it would´t be necessary to level the gain at all?

Thanks namosh, like you´ve said I´m going to flip that coin.

After narrowing my research to only two subs TREO TE 12.44 and ALPINE SWR-1222D, according to your experience, which sub is better for SQ. I listen to all forms of METAL and randomly HIP-HOP. I want to buy only one sub. Any help would be welcome.

I´m talking bout the subs, now I have two mtx rt-1004 feeded by a sony xm-sd22x that runs 200 rms at 4 ohms on each channel, I´m trying to upgrade to two 10s with 4 ohms dual coice coil, in order to wire them at 2 ohms and use the same amp which rates at 250 rms at 2 ohms on each channel. my subs options are: rockford fosgate p2d210 memphis pr 10d4

will I notice a difference between 2 10s of 200 rms each with the amp working at 4 ohms, and 2 10s with 250 rms with amp working at 2 ohms, there would be a really noticeable increased output?, would be louder?, it will worth the change?

i hear mostly metal but lately im playing some hip-hop just for the sake of feeling the bass pumping real hard

im looking for upgrading my subs, actually i have 2 mtx rt-1004 200rms feeded by a sony sd-22x working at 4 ohms each; so i started surfing the net looking for another pair of 10s but 250 rms with 4ohms dvc that will run at 2ohm, these will work with the same amp and in a sealed box of about 0.75 cuft. my research was narrow to memphis pr10d4, rockford
