Most home amps send an 8 ohm signal to the speakers. I think your sub is probably getting more power than you think in the house.

Yes. High quality RCA cables and speaker wire.

Hopefully, you ordered the amp also. I don't see a headunit only powering those Kickers to their potential. Check this review - 4 out of 5 Written by Steve, New Braunfels, TX, on Friday, January 30, 2009 Thank God for the Crutchfield mounting instruction manual that came with the speakers...I had to tear apart the whole back "dash" in

I feel your pain. I have a 2004 F-250. Width and height fits. (approx 4"x7") It is the depth that gets in the way.

Although those 2 headunits may have the features you want as far as ipod and usb, the JVC only has one set of preouts, the Kenwood only has 2. You need to find a headunit that fits your Jimmy, has the features you want, and has 3 sets of preouts. Front. Rear. Sub. The front and rear preouts connect to your 4 channel amp, the sub preouts connect to your

These are good and efficient speakers for headunit power and fit your front doors. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_065S85/Boston-Acoustics-S85.html?tp=105 These would work well with a small amp and fit your front doors. Priced right. http://signature.crutchfield.com/s_2068KS680/Kicker-KS680.html?tp=105 These would match the other low power Bostons and

Here is 1 review of the Polks I think you will like ... 5 out of 5 Good Written By Tyler, Abington, PA on Thursday, September 10, 2009 I recently bought a 2000 gmc jimmy with blown speakers. So I put a pair of these speakers in the front doors of my Jimmy. They sound good. My system currently has 2x 500watt 10Inch subs, and a Sony HU. I put this speakers

Like I say, don't know your budget, but I would go better than the Dual set. This is awesome. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130P5100UB/Pioneer-DEH-P5100UB.html?tp=5684 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136S212R12/JL-Audio-CS212RG-W1v2-2.html?tp=112 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_136G1700/JL-Audio-G-Series-G1700.html?showAll=N&tp=115

Not sure what your budget is. I will only suggest what I think will work well. You also need a headunit with lots of tone and EQ settings and also highpass/lowpass settings. It also needs 6 RCA preouts, front, rear, sub. These will work well if only using the headunit power. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_065S65RC/Boston-Acoustics-S65RC.html?tp=105 These

Sorry, forgot about wiring from the headunit. I would get a different pair of speakers for the headunit and use the JBL's for the fronts. Those JBL's will be just as seriously underpowered as the sub. Actually, you will never know the rears are there unless you find some 6x9's with very high sensitivity and possible under 4 ohms impedance
