I am worried about over drawing the stock alternator, and I don't want to buy a new one. I had a 1991 Honda Accord EX, and with no lights or AC on, it still drew mass amounts of power. I had a voltometer and it was at it's max when I played it. When I had AC, I couldn't play music too loud. At night, music was a last choice thing, beings

Basically, Im stuck decided between a component set in the front, and 6x9 in the back with an amp to them, running with an Alpine CDE 102. Or, 6x9 in the back and 6x1/2 in the front doors, cut the tweeters off, then hook up the sub and amp I have. I originally had the sub and amp in my old car. I don't want as much power as it has, so i haven't

Also, what would I need to control the sub woofer bass seperate from the head unit? The head unit has 1 bass function, and a high, medium, low, (asl?) setting. I would like to be able to use the speakers as treble, and the sub as bass, (obviously). And I need the control for it in an easy to reach place, like under the dash or something. I have seen

First off, I have the Kenwood Kac-8104D amp. Second, I had a car with all this installed, I just took it out because I didn't get much for the car. There was an Alpine deck, and the RCA's plugged into that, as well as the P.Con wire. (Remote lead?) So, how do I install the amp in the car? Pretty sure there's no RCA's in the stock stereo

Ok, this is a followup to my first question that I got answered already. And I changed my mind on things for a couple reasons. Originally I was going to run an amp and sub, with new speakers and deck, but I don't need a sub/amp. I transport kids around alot, so having a powerful sub is kind of pointless if I can only use it once in a while. So I

Im very financially responsible. (been out of work since November, was lazy for a while, had a good job offered so I took it. But the 8 month vacation is starting to catch up with me. You know, having no money left and all.) I rarely ever spend money on anything, but when I do, I spend cash because I don't like the idea of credit or IOU type of

Very much so. That is actually one thing I haven't done before. I had a company put in my first amp and sub in my Honda, but then I put in a way more powerful setup myself, including the head unit. I don't remember how they had it setup on that one. And its not so much of ordering and waiting, its getting the money in the bank to order. ^_^

I have one more question. Right now, I can actually hook up my amp and sub because I have everything I need to do so. Which wire on the stock stereo do I hook the remote turn-on lead into? It will be a couple weeks before I get all the stereo stuff ready for install, so I figure might as well put the sub in now while Im waiting. ^_^

Yeah. It's not terribly hard, just time consuming. And by those it actually looks easier then I excpected. The rivets are not a problem. My dad has so many different tools, I can use one per rivet. And he has about 20 different style of screws and nuts. (Pluses to having someone who's a mechanic for a living.) With my sisters camry, I had to
