  • Re: Do I need to rewire?

Actually the Pioneer installed does have a harness plugged into the factory harness.I was told by UD that it will work with most of the present Pioneer stereos. They gave me a list of compatible models. The wires are all correctly color coded and tagged also,so clipping the connector and adding the Jensen connector should be a snap, since i can unplug

I have not found ANY harness to fit my UD1300. If I could find one I wouldn't care about the extra dollars to get the solderless harness. The harness to the Pioneer is connected to the UD harness. It was installed at the factory.I just need something with more volume, since my truck is a diesel, with cab over engine.

Then, what I can't figure is they sell a factory harness to hook up the different recievers. Is there a seperate harness for each reciever and car?The only install instructions I can find just say to use the factoy harness. In the old days you just joined the wires together, with solder and tape. I could see older harnesses being different. This truck

  • Do I need to rewire?

I have a Nissan UD1300 truck. It came with a Pioneer Super Tuner III installed.I see it uses a plug that connects to the trucks wires . I see the newer Pioneers have the same plug end.Is this same plug used by others/most makers? Can I buy a new reciever and just plug it in? I would like to put in a Jensen 9413,with HD radio and backup camera.
