  • Re: Alpine NVE-P1 Update

Hello there, We do have an add-on navigation model from Alpine that has only been out for a few months. It is the Alpine NVE-M300 and it works with several Alpine DVD head units. You will ahve to check under the Hand's On Research tab to see if your particular radio is compatible. Hope this helps! P.S. bornonaf1.....Air Force One???? Had to ask

  • Re: Finding the right sub

Thanks for the feedback dodge05ram. I'm sorry you find the search filters "useless" on our site, but we do try to provide you with all the specs we have available on each sub we offer. There are times when you do have to do a little research in order to match up the sub with the box needed. Since subs often have a range of sizes that can

  • Re: my bt200 doesn't work with the kenwood dnx5120. why not?

We have had a few instances where the phone will find the BT200 and pair up, but nothing will come up on the head unit. That sounds like the problem here. Try pressing the reset button on the head unit. This should allow them to communicate with each other. I hope this works and you get it straightened out.

  • Re: Needhelp finding some replacement speakers.

I agree with the other two replies on here as well. Basically, you need to stay with 8-ohm speakers if you are doing a speaker replacement only and trying to utilize the amp inthe system. Most HTIB systems have 8-ohm speakers, so you should be safe with the impedance. My feelings are that the problem may liein the amp itself and like the other poster

  • Re: HDMI Switching vs. Repeating

Let me see if I can clear this up a bit. Most of today's receivers will do HDMI switiching to some degree. The trick here is to make sure that when you hook up your products to the receiver you have a receiver that will accept both audio and vido through the HDMI inputs. For instance there are receivers that will "switch" between sources

  • Re: Kenwood DNX7100 LCD Brightness Problem

Hey Barney, I would check all you wirinig to make sure all your conenctions are still sound. You could then try to just reset the whole setup and see where that gets you as well. If you are still having a problem, then I would suggest letting a Kenwood tech take a look a look at it and see if the unit may have just become defective. Hope this helps

  • Re: Where to mount amp in 2001 Chevy S-10 Xt cab

Hey Bert, I think your best option here would be behind the seat. That seems to be the preferred place that most of the S-10 owners have that I speak with. Depending on the size of the amp you need, sometimes you can get one to fit under the seat, but you are pretty limited there. I know you may have some issues with your clubs in behind the seat, but

  • Re: Rockford Fosgate Power T2 or JL Audio 12W7

Sounds like you are off to a nice start on upgrading your system. The good news here is that I'm sure you will be pleased whichever route you go here. Personlly, I love the JL Audio subs. I think they handle power extremely well and the distortion levels are normally very good. In my time here, I can honestly say that JL has had the best sub demo

  • Re: Phoenix Gold RSD65cs speaker spacer issues

Hello stukovx, Sorry to hear you are having trouble installing the Phoenix Gold speakers you have. We do not carry that particualr brand, but based on our research, you should not need an extra adapter for most 6 1/2" speakers to install them in your doors. The 6 1/2" speakers that we carry can be installed by cutting out the back of the factory

  • Re: Tacoma Speakers

Hello English444, You have some good questions about the installation in your Tacoma and let me see if I can clear up a few points here. First of all, I'm showing the specs on the Polk speakers to be slightly different than the ones you listed. Based on the mounting specs we have received from Polk, the 651 speakers have a mounting height of 1.182"
