You should have gotten this antenna adapter . Connect the Blue wire on the adapter to the Blue/White wire on the JVC harness and you should get your AM reception back.

Every manufacturer is going to sort things differently and unfortunately what works one place, may not work in another. If changing the tags is not an option, then there's not much else you can do.

The firmware update should not have changed anythig about charging. It's likely that the receiver has failed and you will need to return it. I've seen the firmware break functionality but charging is a physical function, not a software one.

As with everything else it seems lately, it's probably going to require a software update. How long it takes will probably be related to how many people are having trouble with (wanting to use) this particular feature.

Well if that's what's happening then I have to attribute it to software or a defect. You'll either need to send the unit to Kenwood for evaluation (repair) or simply wait and hope a future software release for the Kenwood resolves the problem. It's not something I've seen as being a widespread probelm though, so it is likely to be
