If your current amplifier is hooked up to both the front and rear speakers, then you will need an additional amplifier to power a subwoofer. Since you didnt mention a price range, type of music, or how much space you have, I think your best bet would be an RE Audio XXX 18" Subwoofer. I'd recommend giving it over 1600rms depending on which year you go

Based on what you have, if it was my car; I'd put the components up front with the other set of speakers, both powered with the amp. Run the rear speakers off the HU since its more for fill and not worry about any other additional amplifiers. Your sub aint going to be able to keep up with your planned setup. Pzaul

You need to not use the existing crossovers at all. You need to use what came with the speakers, its rather ridiculous to use something else, especially without knowing its specs. Pzaul

It'd be hard to beat that price for the sub, enclosure and amps(PLUS wiring). It's also pretty hard to compare a system in a house vs car. That being said, I do think the 15s will be able to stay louder at lower notes than the 12s. Depending on what model memphis subs he had, you might be quite a bit louder overall, those subs used in the package you
