I'm fairly sure they'll work in any vehicle, so long as it fits. That particular unit is a double DIN sized unit, so your vehicle must have a double DIN opening for it to fit or else you'd have to custom fit it. Some units (not this one) could monitor vehicle speed, RPM's, temp., oil pressure, etc., but I believe those came with all

I too would not agree with your first sentence, but to each his own. I myself have never once used a Kenwood HU, but I've used many others, including Alpine, Clarion, Pioneer, Sony, Panasonic, and a few off brand units. Out of all I've used the Alpine is the most confusing. However, just weeks after using my Alpine HU's it became almost

Sadly, no, the KD-S100 doesn't have an EQ you can adjust or any presets. It does have Bass and Treble adjustments, but they are fixed at 30Hz and 12kHz. They can be adjust up to +6dB or -12dB. As for subwoofer adjustments, other than the volume level and cut off frequency, you would have to make them on the amp powering it/them. Honestly, the KD

Yeah, I thought it was a bit odd that the speakers sounded blown myself, but I do know that my Brother-in-law had/has a tendency to really crank the volume on everything. As for car speakers, the only one's I've got are 4 Ohm and the speakers for my surround sound are 4 Ohm as well, so no dice. I looked into that Onkyo and truth be told, that's

My brother-in-law recently gave my mother his old Panasonic SC-HT650, it's one of those home theaters in a box setups. Anyways, I knew a few years back that it was working great, but after I hooked it up for my mother I could easily tell some speakers were blown. After looking to see what the unit's specs were I found that the amp is rated at

Unless you plan to spend the $700+ on that JL amp then you will likely have to run two(2) RCA cables. I believe JL just recently put that nifty feature into some of their amps. Most other amps, if not every, will require you to run one set for your highs (front speakers) and one set for your lows(subs). Also, both of those HU's have a subwoofer

Short answer is no. The reason, even if by chance it does fit in the back of another brand receiver, the chance that the individual wire locations for power, ground, speaker outs, dimming, power antenna, etc. on the harness to match the HU you are trying to plug it into are very unlikely to match. Even if you install another Pioneer it is likely not

Sadly that amp just isn't a good choice for the 4 ohm DVC Alpine you have. You could only wire it to get a mere 280RMS (if that since the amp isn't CEA certified). With that little of power you could easily push the amp into clipping, which would drastically reduce the life of your sub. You might be able to use that amp without pushing it so

Well, Crutchfield Canada has the Alpine SWE-1242 for $70 each and free shipping (at least for today). Sure, they're last years model, but there's nothing wrong with that. I've actually heard a dual 10" setup of the SWE-1042 and I at least felt they were pretty good. This can only lead me to believe the 12's would be just as good
