I currently own a DNX-7100 with a KCA-BT100. I read on the Crutchfield product info page that you can have up to 6 quick dial buttons. Currently on my DNX-7100, I only have 3 quick dial buttons available. I'm wondering if this is dependent on receiver type or bluetooth module type. I would consider the upgrade if it would actually change the interface

I currently own the DNX7100 and an iPod Classic, connected using the Kenwood iPod video/audio cable. I'm considering upgrading to the DNX8120, but have a question. With my unit, if I'm watching a iPod video, it plays fine. However, when I turn off the car, then turn on again, the iPod video does not resume the video, but will just display a blank screen
-
Yeah, mine doesn't resume either. I was hoping that they would have included the resume function on video in the firmware, but looks like they didn't. It's kinda useless watching videos if you can't even resume them. It's not like they have chapters you can skip to either, you gotta press the fast forward button just to find your spot. I'm hoping they

I was struggling between both formats too. It came down to one of the Toshiba HD-DVD and a Blu-Ray PS3. I ended up just getting a PS3. My logic was that if BluRay loses out, at least I have a game console (even though I have yet to buy a game) and a wi-fi multi-media player for my movie/music files. I do agree that it sucks that not all studios support

Kenwood has actually posted some stuff on the video headunits now. Prior, they only had a section for "Audio" headunits and the "Visual" headunits was listed as "Coming Soon". Check out this link: http://www.kenwood.com/usb/eng_select.html Follow the link under the "About Connection With iPod", then click on the "KCA-iP200/300V Compatibility List" link

sorenboren: Thanks! I got it to work. No problem....I actually answered your second question you had but I guess it got deleted......I didn't know Crutchfield censors that type of info on these forums.....my bad. Just google that question and you'll find it everywhere on the internet, it's no big secret....

sorenboren: I just had a dnx7100 installed in my tacoma, so far I like it but have a couple questions: 1-When I try to play videos from my ipod it shows a message on the screen "No Ipod Video Signal". How do I get the video to show on the screen? I have the kca-ip300v cable with the system. The video files are MPEG-4, is this the reason it doesn't show

HeathGrl: I have a 60gb IPod video and the DNX7100. I don't know what format to store the videos on so that i can call them up on the nav system. I store the IPod video files as mpeg-4 but according to the DNX 7100 manual it will only recognize DivX, and a few others. When I converted my already saved movie files to a DivX as stated in the manual as

Big Steve: Any update on the light at the end of the tunnel? I recently e-mailed them and this is what they wrote back.... "When the Classic came out, we learned of its incompatibility within a few days (we had no advance warning from Apple). Our engineers are currently looking at the issue, but we have no schedule of when a fix may become available

Wreckard: The unit is always on or always off - it doesn't turn on or off with the ignition at all. But I'm right in thinking this isn't the way it should behave? I didn't want to get out the voltage tester if this is the way it's designed. Yeah, I suspect that you are not getting ignition power at all on the car side of the harness, or worse case,
