  • Re: THE UPDATE FROM KENWOOD IS HERE!!!

Well after two days of use of the latest FW change w/ my IPOD nano 2nd generation I've discovered a problem. The IPOD seems to get stuck on an album or playlist & is unable to select another Artist, Album, Playlist in the main menu -- I have the latest SW on my IPOD. The only thing that seems to reset things sometimes is via a power-up disconnect

I saw the update 12/11 days ago -- many have installed it (see previous posts) & continue to have probs - that is why I haven't tried it. I will try it this weekend & report.

The KCA-IP300V & the DNX7100 + the NEW Ipods = No Artwork & Video is a mixed bag ..... We've been waiting for months and I don't expect a fix though I'm still hoping. If it was truly a software patch the fix would've been in by now. I believe hardware is required as many sites on the Internet affirm that a special HW connector/key is required

Thanks for the update --- I guess all DNX7100 users have access to the USB port via the IPOD cable?

This implies that the existing Kenwood cable for the DNX7100 requires no change --- a nice software only change is good news indeed.

So you are confirming the LCA-IP300V cable allows the new IPOD to display video? Audio I assume is OK .. the only thing that is broken is the album art?

Check out page 10 of the DNX7100 manual. There is a limitation to the folder structure of the USB/DVD/IPOD device ... perhaps you have too many folders? Max number of directory levels 8 Max number of folders 254 Max number of files per folder 255 Max number of files per playlist 7000
