Yup we need the space constraints you are working with before we can design a box... And assuming they are D2 ohm subs then they should be wired like this:

Every car and setup is different so theres no way to tell you for sure what the results will be. However, from my experience subs facing towards the rear will produce the best results. And giving your ports more room to breath could definitely increase the SPL as well. I'd say go for it, worse case senario you get a decrease in SPL so you flip it

It's been a while since I've been on these forums and it looks like there have been some nice improvements... It feels good to be back into the car audio scene :)

Ninja1283: Your Kicker 750.1 amps only put out the rated 750W RMS at 2 ohms, so make sure each of your DVC subs are wired in series parallel to present a 2ohm load to the amp (assuming you have the 4ohm DVC version.) Additionally, if you don't already know, Kicker typically underrates its amps, so a 750.1 will more than likely put out closer to 900W

200hz is too high for a sub to be playing. Forget about the published frequencies like the Type R, they aren't practical. Try bringing your lpf down to 60-80hz. Also, try switching the positive and negative at the amp to see if it is out of phase with your speakers.

Have you checked the gain on the amp and the subwoofer setting on the head unit?

The Alpine hits lower, the Kicker hits higher. Kicker is probably a little bit louder, but the Alpine will sound better with music. They both weigh around ~20-25lbs.

Four tens have almost the same surface area as one 18" sub. Since you have little space for subs and a box, you will need to make up for that in power. If you decide on an 18 then a Fi BTL with a 2-3k RMS watt amp would probably give you the spl you are looking for. If you go with four tens then you have lots of options, but you will proabably want

Here are my judgments, based solely on what I see in the pictures and general personal experience. You have a good amount of cone area, so the subs should be pretty loud. Generally mixing different sized subs is not a good idea, from an SQ standpoint. They have different characteristics and therefore will not sound good played together, regardless of

Most music doesn't dip as low as 20hz. That's extremely low. If you want to be hitting notes that low you are going to need lots of cone area. The Kickers and the Alpine can both get pretty loud and sound decent. In my experience the Alpine has a lower, deeper sound than the Kickers do, but the Kickers hit harder up top.
