The ground wire from the Head unit is usually black. If you bought the harnesses that plug into the factory harness make sure the black wire there is connected to the black wire that is coming off the head unit harness. Some cars however do not have a ground wire in the harness so you have to ground it to a metal part of the vehicle.

most likely there is a retaining clip/ring on the crank at the door panel. you can pop off this ring to take the crank off and remove the panel fully. This tool makes it a lot easier (out of stock now, somewhere local might have it though)

as for the 5 volt regulator, I've also heard a 1.5k ohm resistor will work too... any thoughts tiger? If you are keeping the speakers stock, they most likely have the crossovers already built in. (in fact I'm almost positive) so you won't need a separate crossover... if you were putting in new speakers then you would get a component set that comes with

also note that the harness does NOT have a ground wire. You will have to ground the radio to the chassis of the Z. I'm looking at radios for my Father's Z and found out that little tid bit. Here are some how to's from a 350Z forum (hope that is ok since CF doesn't have mastersheets for this) http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26598 (Radio

you can also separate by commas too I have found

Well you can rewire them yourself, maybe about 15-25 feet of wire to give you some play room, and run it from the door to the harness in the headunit. But I would suggest that if you do one, might as well do all to be safe.

I would personally stick with 2 10" subs (pioneer slims are pretty good if you want to maximize space) I had an escort wagon as my first car and one 10" hit pretty hard in it, so I can only imagine 2 of them... I would also look at some good tweeters for the highs that are in most of techno, and present in other music, but that is just me.

I just hope the news agencies will drop the "Is Atlanta a Tornado Alley?" fear stories... they are getting rather annoying...

Glad to hear that you made it through TigerHeli I'm to the north of ya in Cobb. For those that haven't seen, there is one photo of the actual tornado as it was in Atlanta. http://www.11alive.com/assetpool/images/0831622569_downtowntornado_400_031608.jpg You can see it on the left side of the photo, to the right of the tall building with the lit top

My father had an earlier version of this console with a CD player and it worked perfectly fine (even put a small amp in the other part of the console) however with DVD it might be a different ballgame. Mostly the angle is to prevent scratching and skipping of the disk as it is playing. On another note, that area is more recessed than the picture makes
