• Re: JVC-KD-S100 - Customizable Sound Options?

I don't like the motorized faceplate since it is something that will break at some point in time, but there is a three year parts / labor warranty through JVC. Also, the motorized faceplate only operates when you are changing a CD. You pop the faceplate off to change the SD card. For the price it is a very nice unit. And with regard to the Bongiovi

  • Re: How are JVC receivers with USB ports? Also, how long will sale last?

OK, this is weird. This JVC unit wasn't remembering it's spot on the flash drive I was using today so I started playing around with it. Sandisk 2GB Flash Drive: The JVC will not remember where it was when you turn the car off and back on. Memorex 2GB Flash Drive: The JVC will remember it's spot when you turn the car off and back on. I wonder

  • Sony GT410U CD Stuck? (CD RESET)

TigerHeli or if anybody else knows about Sony's... my Sony GT410U is acting up somehow, maybe a disk is stuck in there? I tried to put a new disk in but it didn't want to go in so I tried to eject but nothing happened. If I hit the source button to CD, it says "CD RESET" for about four seconds, then the radio shuts off. USB / Aux in

Well, I finally got the radio installed as well as my rear speakers, still need to do the front component speakers. The sound with the stock speakers is really good and there are quite a few neat features about this radio. For the price it was (and is) a good head unit. As far as the USB port goes it works pretty well. I still prefer the USB operations

  • Re: How do i hook up this receiver..!!!
Just to clarify - I'm sure Heat was referring to using an adapter harness like Alex W mentioned at the end and like you would get from CF and which I would also recommend.
Yes, a wiring harness. Re-reading the original post, it sounds like he is trying to hook the radio directly up to the vehicle without

  • Re: Honda Accord 2000 Head Unit Size and outputs

I'd go with the 6.5" shallow depth ones just because bigger is better, isn't it? But I'm not a speaker expert by any means, in my Honda I still have the stock speakers. I actually bought that JVC KD-S100 for my other car, an '09 Mazda5 but haven't installed it yet because the dash kit is on backorder. I spent a little extra

In my Honda I have the Sony GT410U, here is a picture: http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/3848/gt410u.jpg It was a mid-level radio a couple summers ago, Crutchfield price was $150 though I picked up the scratch and dent version for $135 if I remember right. There was another stereo called the Sony GT620IP which had built in iPod support but I don't

Any head unit will handle four speakers. As far as the size, just pick one that looks "normal" size (and one that Crutchfield says will fit) - that's a 1-din radio. It'll fit just fine and you will keep the factory pocket under the radio. Be sure to keep the trim piece, you'll be using it. About two months ago I replaced the head

  • Video screen that can hook up to an iPod Touch, and accepts two sets of headphones?

In a nutshell I want a screen in my car (Mazda5) that I can hook an iPod Touch up to and play videos off of the iPod Touch, for kids in the backseat. It must also be able to accept two sets of headphones. My ideal system would be the Alpine PKG RSE2: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500PKGRSE2/Alpine-PKG-RSE2.html?tp=77 But it is way too expensive for what
First off - $300 for the deck and two sets of Infinity speakers is a good deal ...
The price has dropped to $200 with the two sets of Infinity speakers, though I picked up an "open box" (returned) version for $180. Since this JVC unit is apparently designed to make the most out of factory speakers
