I was looking for good quality HU and speakers that wouldn't break my budget, so here's what I ended up with...

HU-Kenwood KDC-MP208 built-in MOSFET amplifier (22 watts RMS/50 peak x 4 channels)

Fronts- Sony GT1625A 6.5" 2-way 2-40 watts RMS (190 watts peak power)

Rears- Sony GT6935A 6"x9" 3-way 2-60 watts RMS (300 watts peak power)

Right now I'm not looking for a sub setup-maybe in the future. With that said, if I want to power this system with an amp as well, what are my best options? Do I power my fronts off of the HU and the backs off of a multi channel that I can later use for a sub? I really don't have much experience when it comes to amps, so any thoughts/recommendations/advice would be really appreciated. Basically I'm looking for a reasonably priced amp (If I even need one right now) that will improve sound quality all around. Will I hear a huge difference running some and/or all my speakers from an amp as opposed to the receiver? Also, I'm just using the factory wiring for all of this-with my new speakers (and possible amp) should I run new wiring?

Thank for in advance for all of your help!

2004 Dodge Grand Caravan Head Unit Replacement & Tweeter Installation

I own a 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan with the base stock AM/FM/CD (single) system without steering wheel mounted controls. I have two 6X9's in the bottom of the front doors and two in the back.

I have recently purchased a new Sony head unit and two Pioneer 5-1/4" speekers to add in the areas available on the dash. I have been told that I cannot just hook up the new system and speakers as I have to contend with an existing amplifier that is not part of the stock unit and located somewhere in the vehicle.

I am seeking any advice that can be provided on how best to proceed with the installation and what additional equipment I may need to purchase (i.e. dash kits, adapters, data transfer kits, etc).

Any help would be appreciated.
