Remote mount LCD Screen

Okay, heres my issue, i have an 08' mazdaspeed3 im looking to replace the factory nav system with a aftermarket nav/dvd/cd reciever. now my question, can the aftermarket dvd/nav systems' screen be removed from the head unit and mounted remotley.... i was thinking that if i could extend the cable from the head unit to the screen i could make it mount in the O.E. 7" nav system mount. If i could get your help that would be awesome.

Help replacing head unit in Infiniti QX4

So, I'm looking to replace the headunit in my 2001 Infiniti QX4. It has a Bose factory system and I've heard those can be a little difficult to deal with. At a few of the big national electronics stores, the car audio guys have told me that I can't just replace the headunit - I would need to replace all the speakers, run new wire, etc. Is this true?

Also, if they are full of it and I can just replace the headunit will the tweeters on the dash still work or will all of the sound have to come out of the front and rear door speakers?

2005 trailblazer speakers

Thanks ahead of time. Have a 2005 trailblazer with the bose factory installed system. While looking throught the speaker selection it did not show speakers for the front kick panels. There are currently speakers in there.... I can see them so can someone give me some direction as to the size??? Also I would like to use the factory installed tweeters... does this make sense with doing after market speakers? Thanks again.

2007 Mazda3 w/Bose, no Nav system upgrade

i just bought an '07 mazda 3 with bose (i really wanted the moonroof) without navigation. i have been listening to the bose system for a couple of weeks now, and although it is good as far as factory systems go, i don't think it is going to work for me long term. my biggest complaint is the very disappointing mids, and then the bright-but-not-so-clear highs. i wouldn't mind a little more bass, but want to get good full sound first. i also want to retain the factory look of the dash (avoid installing a new deck). my questions are:

is it as simple as swapping out speakers and/or adding an amplifier with these electronics, or are there impedance/wiring/horrible eq curve issues with the receiver?
what would be the best place to start: replace speakers or add a good 4-channel amp?
is that tiny plastic box under the passenger seat seriously what they call a subwoofer? And, can it easily be replaced down the road with a better option that still fits in that location without interfering with airbags/sensors?

can i keep the factory head unit?

i have a 00 cadillac STS with the bose stereo system...........i wanna add a pair of subs and replace the factory amp with aftermarket... the bose head unit doesnt have any rca outputs..... can i still upgrade and keep the factory head unit?

i have an 04 GMC Sierra extended cab with bose system in it..i have tried to install an aftermarket amp and subwoofers and didn't work. i found out i need to bypass the bose amp...i want to keep the factory head unit and have the equipment for that but i just found this bypass harness for the amp and was wondering if anyone knows if this is the right thing to do? any feedback would be great

Hey I just bought a 2002 Mercedes C230 Kompressor and I love it, but the one thing I don't love is its bad radio reception. I've been researching alot of car audio and moblie video and I can't decide on what I want any more. Recently I have been looking at the Jensen UV7i which seems to be a great device for the price, and alot of customer reviews have caused me to lean towards buying it but I realized I'm not going to watch alot of movies in my car because most of my car traveling takes less than 25 minutes, so I decided a mediocre DVD player would be a waste. Now I'm having trouble on which head head unit I want. My car has the built in Bose system but the radio sucks, and the phone doesn't work in it anymore. So I want a head unit with Bluetooth built in (not capable!) an auxilary input for my Creative Zen Vision:M, and a good radio thats not going to make my Bose sound system sound like crap. Also I want the new head unit to be able to play CDs from the 6 disk CD changer thats already installed in the car. I would appreciate any feedback you would have to give :-)

I recently purhcased a 99 chevy blazer with factory Bose system. I don't know too much about how it's setup (i.e. is there bose amp built-in the factory radio, is it just a better speakers, etc..) so i'm trying to figure out what options i have without compromising the Bose system. What i would like to do but doubt i can is find a way to get an aux output so i can just use an MP3 player without carrying around cds but obviously the factory radio doesn't have such output. So is there a way to do this without buying an aftermarket radio? So with that being said if i do install an aftermarket radio would that compromise the bose setup? I have more questions but i'll wait to get answers to these first....

I am thinking of getting a Pioneer Stereo but am not positive about speakers and subs.

I was wondering if you have to have a amp for speakers. What I'm trying to say is if you have powerful speakers but don't hook a amp up to them can that mess them up?

Could I Place Subwoofers under the front or rear seats?

Another question what are some good 5 1/4 and 6*9 speakers?

Are Pioneer Speakers Good? How Bout Pioneer Subwoofers? All answers are welcome. I'm only 16 and I pay insurance and gas.
