http://community.crutchfield.com/search/SearchResults.aspx?o=DateDescending&tag=Bose,sound+quality&orTags=0Search results matching tags 'Bose' and 'sound quality'en-USCommunityServer 2008.5 SP2 (Debug Build: 40407.4157)http://community.crutchfield.com/forums/p/1653/6397.aspx#6397Wed, 25 Jul 2007 05:27:09 GMTbd5cdc59-8905-44ac-b6bd-800f81497726:6397jonathan4740<p>i just bought an '07 mazda 3 with bose (i really wanted the moonroof) without navigation.&nbsp; i have been listening to the bose system for a couple of weeks now, and although it is good as far as factory systems go, i don't think it is going to work for me long term.&nbsp; my biggest complaint is the very disappointing mids, and then the bright-but-not-so-clear highs.&nbsp; i wouldn't mind a little more bass, but want to get good full sound first.&nbsp; i also want to retain the factory look of the dash (avoid installing a new deck). my questions are:</p><ul><li>is it as simple as swapping out speakers and/or adding an amplifier with these electronics, or are there impedance/wiring/horrible eq curve issues with the receiver?</li><li>what would be the best place to start: replace speakers or add a good 4-channel amp?</li><li>is that tiny plastic box under the passenger seat seriously what they call a subwoofer?&nbsp; And, can it easily be replaced down the road with a better option that still fits in that location without interfering with airbags/sensors?<br></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p>
