Bose Acoustimass speaker setup HELP PLEASE!!

hey all,

i was wondeifing if you guys could help me on the set up of my speakers.

i have owned the Bose Acoustimass 6 speaker sytem for about a year now and have recently bought a Denon 1908 reciever.

now i was wondering if it would benifical to hook my speakers directly to reciever, rather then through the sub.

if anyone can help me it would be a great, thanks
