Bose AM-5 Series II as rear L&R for 5.1

Opening Boxes I packed over 6 years ago.... Finshed off a room in the basement, might as well set up home theatre.

I have an older Bose Acoustimass 7 planning to use for LR &C speakers and subwoofer, and also have an older Acoustimass 5, Series II - Can I use this for the rear L&R speakers and gain any benefit from the second subwoofer? Neither subwoofer is powered. Thanks in advance.

Adding Subs to 97 Jetta GLX Bose system

I have a 97 jetta glx with stock bose stereo system. I am hoping to install separate subwoofers into my car, but keep all other original speakers. Is there any way i can do thi through the existing bose amp? i assume not, and i found the PAC OEM-2 adapter, and i was wondering if i could connect this to my current stereo, get a bass amp for the subs, and keep my existing speaker system. I know nothing about the bose system, so any help or advice would be awesome

can i keep the factory head unit?

i have a 00 cadillac STS with the bose stereo system...........i wanna add a pair of subs and replace the factory amp with aftermarket... the bose head unit doesnt have any rca outputs..... can i still upgrade and keep the factory head unit?

I have an 01 Maxima and i have had an amp and box installed. My original set was okay. I just got my friends box which was [extremely] loud ... in his car. It's no where near loud...barely audible in fact... [mod edit: language]

Is it more than likely that the genius who installed it originally spliced in before the amp and that is why my signal is so weak? Since it is a Bose they had to pull the signal off of my rear speaker and then run it through an adjustable crossover and then to my amp. Hope i was clear in what said. Thanks a lot. Any help would be great.
