Hi I am putting in an speaker and into my 1999 Ford Explorer. It already has...

-Alpine CDA-9886 head unit

-4 TR570 JL audio 5x7 Speakers

-MRP-M850 amp pushing a Polk DB1222 pre-loaded enclosure

- 2 Farad Cap

SOOO what will I need for my new amp... Dblock wires or what?

If somone could make a cart that would be great

Ok so I have a Ford Explorer 1999 XLT 4-Door

I am thinking of getting....

a Alpine CDA-9884 Head Unit

Doors with JL Audio TR570-CXis in them

And an MRP-M850 Powering a DB1222

How would this sound?

Also what is the difference between the old DB212-2 and the new DB1222?

Help with Baffles

Hi I have a 2007 Ford Ranger (4doors w/ factory stereo) and

I just bought JL Audio's TR570-CXi 5"x7" speakers and i want a pair of baffles i know 5x7 & 6x8's are the same (Sorta) but im curious what size of baffles should i buy. Should it be the 5x7's or 6x8s? Why sell both if there suppose to be for the same speaker.

The Jl's say: "JL Audio TR570-CXi Evolution™ TR Series 5"x7" 2-way car speakers, Also fit 6"x8" openings"

The guy at one store said my speakers are 6x8's, SO i took my speakers out at home and measure the outside of them and they measured

5 3/4 x 8. So im guessing there 6x8s right? I just dont want to buy 6x8 baffles and there to big and wont fit or buy 5x7 and there too small so i need a clutchfield expert response please.

My stock speakers had this on the back FORD 645T-18808-BA 4ohm 25w M5XUC 2336 06M0822A

No exact sizes unless thats some codewords.

Please help me so i can buy these things.

What 10" sub for me? I want best sound and no more than 5.75 mount. Help Please.

I mostly listen to rock music and want a sub that sounds as clear as possible. Sounding good is more important than overall loudness.

The sub can't have a mounting depth over 5.75" due to the enclosure I will be using (unless you know a single 10" enclosure that will allow for deeper mount on 02 Ford f-150 supercrew).

I was leaning toward JL w3 but I think it is 5.93" so it won't fit.

When it comes to the audio world, I am lost. I am an electrical engineer by trade, so the wiring isnt a problem. What I get lost on, is what to get, and what I need.

Until now I have always just had 1 subwoofer with 1 amp, but I want to change. I want something with a nice, crisp sound, and some nice bass. I have a 2005 F-250. I want this system to retain the factory radio, since it has 6 disk and controls on the steering wheel. I am wanting (2) nice 10" subwoofers behind the seat, so they cant be too deep. I have always like JL audio, are they good? What do I need to wire the amp into the factory radio? What kind of amp should I get? Should I get speakers, or components?

Please help me, I am so confused! LOL

I am in the process of putting a SIMPLE system together for my 1995 Crown Victoria and am seeking some suggestions from you good folks out there. Let me start by saying that I will NOT be using and external amp and will only use the H/U. Also I don't own a Ipod,but will run the wire for one so that my kids can use it the few times they are in my car. I listen mainly to A/M and F/M and will listen to some CD's. With that being out of the way, this is what I have narrowed it down to; H/U-Alpine 9881,9883...Pioneer DEH-4900iB or Kenwood KDC-x591. For the rear speakers; JL Audio..TR690-Txi or Boston Acoustics..S95.3,S95 or Sx95. For the fronts; JL Audio..TR570-Cxi or Boston Acoustics..S85 or Sx85. If anyone has any suggestions,opinions or experience with any of the above please let me know. All your feedback will be greatly appreciated!!!
