need a bass specific 6x8

I recently purchased an Alpine IDA x200 from Crutchfield...

I want to change my factory 6x8 speakers. I cannot afford a sub at this time, but can somebody recommend a speaker that does some justice to bass??

I was thinking of the Infinity Kappa, but recently found from a review that it doesn't have good bass. I heard Polk, BA or JL is good for bass? Can somebody recommend a nice set? It would mean a lot..

-Alpine CDA-9886 head unit

-4 TR570 JL audio 5x7 Speakers

-MRP-M850 amp pushing a Polk DB1222 pre-loaded enclosure

- 2 Farad Cap

SOOO what will I need for my new amp... Dblock wires or what?

If somone could make a cart that would be great

Here is what I have:

2004 Honda Civic Coupe EX

Pioneer DEH-P600UB

Polk MMC6500 in the front

Polk MMC690 in the back

JL 12W6v2 Sub

Amps: JL 500/1v1 and 300/4v1

1 Farad Cap

What would be the best setting for the amps to get the best out of the speakers?

I have two JL 10W3v2 at 2 ohms powered by a JL Slash v2 500/1v2, if i were to add tweeters out of these which would be the best choice: Polk db1000, Infinity Reference 1021t, or the JL Audio TR050-CT. I know the JL and the Polk both are at 4 ohms and the Infinity at 2 ohms. I'm wondering if the ohms of the tweeters will affect my subs and amp sense they are at 2 ohms?

Soliciting recommendations for affordable, very musical 12 inch subs.

Events have played out so that my second Rockford Fosgate 20 to Life amp is not going to be going into my wife's car after all (she traded the car in on a new Ram). So I have an extra fairly musical amp with gobs of power available. I'm looking for recommedations for affordable, musical 12 inch subs that will go very low but they must have good musical reproduction. I'm not looking for thump, I want to be able to tell that what I am hearing is a cello, a standup bass or an organ, if you get the idea. I listen to lots of blues, new and old, and some of it has orchestral backing. I also listen to rock with synthesizers and deep bass lines. I would love to go with JL Audio to timbre match the 6 inch subs in the front doors, but the budget really won't support that. I'm leaning toward Polk as the reviews I've seen indicate that they have the qualities I'm looking for. In particular I'm thinking about the Polk Audio db124, which should be a good match, power-wise, for my amp. Any regulars have any experience with this particular sub or have different recommendations?

Please help me choose! =)

I drive a 2003 Volvo S40, and after blowing out my speakers and doing a lot of research I've narrowed down my selection of new speakers. The problem is I'm not sure, which i should go with. So any help would be awesome!

I've decided on 5 1/4" component speakers in the front:

Alpine SPR-13S

JL Audio VR525-CSi

and I plan on getting 6 1/2 speakers for the rear:

Alpine SPS-17C2

Polk Audio db650

if anyone could help me choose between the 2 in each category, I'd greatly appreciate it. I also plan on getting subs and I was told that I wouldn't need rear speakers if I got subs, does anyone have any feedback on this?
