    Just installed a new 1200w sony explode amp up to an eclipse 12" sub. For some reason the amp seems hot but temp does not increase or decrease. any ideas how to cool it off? Its mounted in the trunk with a micro farad cap next to it. cap is nice and cool. also head unit also gaining some heat. anyone...

    i have three Pioneer 12s in my closet that ive been wanting to install but i dont have an amp in mind that can push it right. I was told that a 1000w amp putting 300w to each speaker should do it right but i wanna know if that is necessary. I wanna get something good without breaking the bank. Any suggestions...
