  • Acura TSX Audio Question

Hello, I have a 2005 Acura TSX WITH the Navigation System. I would like to add an Ipod hookup. Most people have told me I can't with this head unit (but could in the 2006 which also has XM). I don't plan on changing the system. Is my only option something like the Parrot MKi9200? Ideally, I would...

  • Eclipse AVN726E and ipod compatibility

I recently bought an 09 Altima and the Nissan dealership put in the Eclipse AVN726E when I asked for GPS with ipod compatibility. I have an 80GB ipod video (5th gen, I believe) that is hooked into the back. I don't know which cable the installers used. Here's my problem. The 726E has no trouble...

  • Re: kenwood ddx512 ipod function

tburrell is correct. If you just got a USB-to-iPod cable, then that is the issue. You need the KCA-iP300V cable to connect any iPod to this receiver. USB alone is not enough. You also need the audio portion that this cable gives to hear the music. The USB is just control information. Please let us know...

  • Better car audio, Tip #12: Select a lower level of compression for your music files

Yes, you can store more music files on your iPod ® or other MP3 player with more compression, and they'll sound OK when you're listening through earbuds. But you lose some high- and low-frequency information when you compress your music, along with some of the details that make your music interesting...

  • Will lossless files work in your car stereo?

Selecting higher bit rates when ripping digital music files gives you better sound quality. The trade-off, as we've discussed , is that the files are bigger, and fewer of them will fit on whatever storage medium you choose - an iPod® or other MP3 player, your computer, an external hard drive, a USB thumb...

  • Laying the Foundation, Part 2

So, what effect did replacing my Yukon's factory radio with the Alpine have on the rest of the factory system? (See Part 1 for background.) It really notched it up, no kidding. Fatter bass, more dimensionality and presence. The kinds of things you'd associate with a cleaner signal path and better amplification...
