  • Re: Wiring harness for a 2004 Ford Expedition w/ Factory Nav unit.

I have a 2005 Expedition Limited w/ factory Nav, 6 CD changer and NO rear entertainment system and wanted to install the Kenwood DNX-5120 and retain the use of the factory amp / sub. Shop after shop told me that there is no specific harness for the Expo's w/ Navigation and the only solutuion was...

  • Re: 09 2500HD W/T Silverado & ddx514 question

I do understand your concern about the fitment of the Kenwood DDX514 receiver into your 07-09 Chevy Silverado. The depth that you have available in the dash for an aftermarket receiver is 6.765" (for all three years and all the different cab styles) and that receiver only need 6.225" of depth...

  • Re: How do I bridge MRP-F300? And a question on RCA connection

Yes, there definitely should be bass adjustments on the Kenwood. There is also bass boost on the amp. Off for the Alpines and on for the sub ! I would disconnect the cheapo factory tweeters. The Alpines will take care of the highs. You will love that amp.

  • Video: Kenwood KDC-HD942U CD Receiver

Ken takes center stage in the Crutchfield Kenwood KDC-HD942U CD receiver video. He explains that this versatile car receiver gives you plenty of listening options. In addition to an AM/FM tuner, the KDC-HD942U also plays CDs and burned MP3 discs as well. As Ken notes, that's just the beginning. He...

  • Will lossless files work in your car stereo?

Selecting higher bit rates when ripping digital music files gives you better sound quality. The trade-off, as we've discussed , is that the files are bigger, and fewer of them will fit on whatever storage medium you choose - an iPod® or other MP3 player, your computer, an external hard drive, a USB thumb...
