  • Re: Speaker Trouble

Also, if you have an amp installed into your system, you may want to try a ground loop noise filter. This can be an easier solution and should work since you always have the noise. We offer the PAC SNI-1 for this purpose and has gotten favorable reviews. Please let us know how things work out.

  • Head unit "signal leak"?

I have an Alpine CDE-9874 HU connected via line level RCA cables to a Blaupunkt Thb-200A powered subwoofer, and somewhere in the system is something that's causing the subwoofer to let out a soft, periodic, low-frequency "glub". Here's what I know: It doesn't matter whether the...

  • High pitch noise coming from speaker

I have a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab w/ Bose and I recently replaced the HU with an Eclipse DVD in-dash that I had from a few years ago. Now I notice that when I start my truck, there is a high pitch "squeeling" coming from the back right door and it increases/decreases with the gas pedal. It's...

  • FM Modulator noise

So I installed the Metra FM-MOD01 in my car the other day and I have really annoying noise coming through the signal. It's constant whether the engine is on/off, I step on the gas, etc. From what I read, I assume it's a ground loop? I grounded the ground wire of the Modulator to a bare piece of metal...

  • Re: Whining sound in speakers

You could try a power line noise filter . I don't know if it will resolve the issue as you only have it on the one window under certain conditions, but it would be worth a try. If it doesn't work, you could always use our 30 day return policy to send it back.

  • Alpine CDA-9884 - Audio pops when I let off my brake pedal and AM Crackling when engine is on.

I replaced my stock stereo from my old 1998 GMC Sierra 1500 with the Alpine CDA-9884 CD Receiver. 1. Each time I release my brake pedal, the speakers make a pop noise. It's not loud enough to destroy speakers but it's rather annoying. 2. AM stations sound ok when I have my engine off and am in accessory...

  • Portable player + aux jack = unwanted noise?

I put in a plug-and-play satellite radio recently, connecting it to my Dual XHD-6425 head unit through its aux input. With channel guide in hand, I began flipping stations in earnest, ready to program in my favorites. But something was happening — a "swirling" sound that got louder and faster as my engine...
