HDTV AS A MONITOR

  • Can I use an HDTV as a monitor for my Compaq Presario Model CQ5500F

  • Yep, as long as your video card will handle it. I use my 40" Samsung LED LCD for my monitor !

  • Thank you for your help

  • Yeah it will work if the video card can handle it. If the card can't you can always upgrade the card as well. Quick check on what shipped standard with those PC's and it's one of the following: Nvidia GeForce 6100 nForce 420, 6150 LE, 6150SE nForce 430 and 7100/nForce 630i. Good news is they all should handle a HDTV for a monitor bad news is they are all pretty weak cards (well not really cards there integrated into the mother board so there isn't a physical card per say) IMO. But that is neither here nor there. That's just the IT/ gamer/ power PC user in me coming out lol.
